HLT30121 CERT III ABORIGINAL AND/OR TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER PRIMARY HEALTH CARE
ACCREDITED PROGRAM
Our accredited trainers are experienced, teaching students the practical skills and knowledge required for a successful career in the primary health care industry. Our Certificate III Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care is ideal for those who are interested in pursuing a career path in the primary health sector in Rockhampton, Yatala or Gladstone.
ABOUT THE COURSE
Our Certificate III Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care reflects the role of individuals working in healthcare support roles in diverse locations, including urban, rural and remote settings. It is specific to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who work under general supervision as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team providing primary healthcare services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients and communities. At this level, work involves the provision of generalist health services and the use of some discretion and judgment within the parameters of clearly defined plans, policies and procedures to guide work activities.

They employ diverse teaching methods tailored to each student's needs, whether through individual tasks or collaborative group work. Our goal is to offer a distinctive learning journey, ensuring every student gains the essential skills and knowledge needed for a successful future in primary healthcare.
DELIVERY METHODS
We offer a variety of delivery methods to accommodate the schedule and specific needs of every student. Our delivery methods include:
- Face to face - 3 days per week for 10-12 weeks
- Face to face - 2 days per week for 14-20 weeks
- Flexible delivery via correspondence - up to 52 weeks duration plus clinical placement hours to be completed

TRAINING FACILITY
At Blue Stone Medical & Professional, we take pride in our exceptional training facility. Our learning environment is appropriately furnished, and each room is well-equipped with the required training equipment. We offer small classes to ensure maximum assistance and supervision for each student. We also have a state-of-the-art kitchen facility with a fridge, microwave and filtered water, and there is a cafe nearby.
VACCINATION CERTIFICATE
Blue Stone Medical & Professional advises all new students enrolling into our HLT30121 must ensure that their COVID and FLU vaccinations are current, and we ask every student to provide a copy of their vaccination certificate for student records. We also require students going out on clinical placement, to have a current police check and blue card.
If participants do not already have one of these checks in place, student services can assist in obtaining a police check during the enrolment process and assist through Blue Card Services their Blue Card.
