ACCREDITED PROGRAM
Our accredited trainers are experienced, teaching students the practical skills and knowledge required for a successful career in the health support industry. Our Certificate I Life Skills is ideal for those who are interested in pursuing a career path in the health sector in Rockhampton, Yatala or Gladstone.
ABOUT THE COURSE
Our Certificate I Life Skills addresses core personal development and work-related competencies. It also addresses competencies associated with employment options selected from administration, horticulture and hospitality.
- There are many aging parents who have adult children still living at home this course would give them opportunity to gain the skills to be more independent.
- Aging Australians struggle with technology and require basic knowledge and use of computer technology, the administration units cover this.
- The NDIS has indicated that life skills is a key requirement for students leaving school. This life skills course teaches life skills and covers electives across three areas for potential employment or further education leading to potential employment outcomes.

Whether it's individual tasks or group collaboration, our trainers create a dynamic learning environment. This approach ensures each student not only acquires the necessary skills and knowledge but also gains valuable experience for long-term success in the health support sector.
DELIVERY METHODS
We offer a variety of delivery methods to accommodate the schedule and specific needs of every student. Our delivery methods include:
- Face to face - 3 days per week for 8-10 weeks
- Face to face - 2 days per week for 12-14 weeks

TRAINING FACILITY
At Blue Stone Medical & Professional, we take pride in our exceptional training facility. Our learning environment is appropriately furnished, and each room is well-equipped with the required training equipment. We offer small classes to ensure maximum assistance and supervision for each student. We also have a state-of-the-art kitchen facility with a fridge, microwave and filtered water, and there is a cafe nearby.
FUNDED COURSES
You may be eligible for subsidised training by the Queensland Department of Education and Training. To qualify, you must not hold a current Certificate III or greater qualification, attend secondary school or be older than 15 years of age.
COURSE FEES
Before financial assistance, our course fees are as follows:
- Tuition fee - Concessional - $100.00 / Non-concessional - $200.00
- Police check - $50.00
- Uniform - $50.00 per polo shirt
VACCINATION CERTIFICATE
Blue Stone Medical & Professional advises all new students enrolling into our 10959NAT must ensure that their COVID and FLU vaccinations are current, and we ask every student to provide a copy of their vaccination certificate for student records. We also require students going out on clinical placement, to have a current police check and blue card.
If participants do not already have one of these checks in place, student services can assist in obtaining a police check during the enrolment process and assist through Blue Card Services their Blue Card.
