ABOUT THE COURSE
The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Community) is designed for people who want to work alongside clients in their own homes — helping with daily tasks, personal care, health monitoring and social participation. This individual support course covers the practical and theory-based skills that employers in the community services sector are actively looking for.
You'll learn how to support people with dignity, respond to changing needs and work as part of a broader care team. It's a nationally recognised qualification that sets you up for employment from the moment you complete it.
DELIVERY METHOD
We know life doesn't stop when you decide to study. That's why our delivery is structured to work around you — combining face-to-face classroom sessions with practical workplace experience so you're learning in real environments, not just from a textbook.
Our trainers guide you through each unit at a pace that keeps things manageable and our small group approach means you're never just a number. The hands-on component gives you the confidence to walk into your first day of work ready to contribute. We'll talk you through what's involved at enrolment so you know exactly what to expect.
OUR TRAINERS
There's a big difference between learning from someone who's read the theory and learning from someone who's lived it. Our trainers come from backgrounds in community care, health services and individual support — so the conversations in class reflect what actually happens on the job.
They understand the challenges you'll face, the moments that matter and the skills that make a real difference to clients. As a fully accredited RTO (Registration No. 32117), we hold our training to a high standard and our trainers are assessed and supported to keep delivering quality outcomes for every student who walks through our doors.
POSSIBLE CAREER PATHS
Community and individual support is one of Queensland's fastest-growing employment sectors, and completing this individual support course puts you at the front of the queue. Graduates typically move into roles such as community support worker, home care assistant, personal care worker, disability support worker or aged care worker.
Many of our students find work quickly after graduating — often through connections formed during their workplace experience component. Whether you're re-entering the workforce, changing careers or taking your first serious step into employment, this qualification gives you a recognised credential that employers trust and value.
